I must have weird Basset. No drool or farting, not a food thief prefers socks! Can run for miles off lead without straying. Oblivious to any furry in his path until they catch his eye then he runs in opposite direction. Only typical trait would be his howling, very musical when singing along to piano, the beatles are his favourite, could swear he tries to hit the notes. He’s called Dexter, can’t imagine life without him.

I just lost my best friend Sherman. He would do the “flat basset” thing, fart, drool, sling drool, chase squirrels, get out of his collar with a twist of the head, sometimes totally ignore me……but his love was unconditional, he had the funniest dreams (woofing and running in his sleep), loved any toy with a face on it, loved little kids and the school bus and rides in the car, and I miss him every day.

Bassett Hounds are extremely flatulent. (At least the four I’ve had and my current one have been) The guilty end is always aimed at me and can run you out of a room!

Fast här är det no problems with nailclipping! Alla tre ligger snällt på rygg medan jag klipper.

Yes, mine are mischievous too! Aggie once stole köttfärs (minced meat) from the counter in the kitchen despite it being frozen and in plastic!
