On Fridays I buy the woofs raw meaty bones from Catjabutiken Hund & Cat in Roslags-Näsby. Marie has an excellent selection of organic Swedish meat for dogs and Friday is treat day at Kennel Björkwood.
The woofs are given frozen, raw meaty bones that are specially selected by Marie for dogs. Her store specialises in BARF products and although I’ve had some success with this diet in the past I prefer to feed a good super premium food and add things like bones, cod liver oil, vegetables, etc. We often feed them lamb or chicken from one of the farms around here.
Have you signed the Save the Basset Hound petition yet?
I’ve not tried raw chicken wings on the woofs yet but I’d be curious to hear if anyone feeds these regularly. How do your bassets take to them? Have you had any bad experiences with bones? Obviously they’re a contentious issue as they can cause problems but there’s also a stack of scientific evidence from the likes of Dr Tom Lonsdale in support of feeding a diet that includes bones.

The Czechs love their chicken wings! Of course they are quite a bit smaller than Bassets, so they have to chew once or twice (well except Olivia who can demolish a chicken wing in a nanosecond!)
Really?
I’m interested to know more. Have you had any bad reactions to this?
How long have you been feeding them this?
