'What happened to the floor?' wondered Bernard
We’ve just finished tiling the floor in the dog house room! It was a case of too many hounds not really being good for a wooden floor!
The picture is of Bernard trying it on for size.
I found David Key’s Kennel Design Book very useful for tips on improving the facilities here at Kennel Björkwood. We’ve now put tiles in the kitchen, the hallway and the dog room. Next up I’d like to put tiles in my office as the dogs spend so much time in there too.
Tiles + regularly washed dog fleeces really help keep that hound dog smell down to a minimum.

You will really love those tile floors. The job looks great. Tile and washed fleece beds also help relieve dogs with allergies to dust. Emma is allergic to everything so I know.
I love the look!

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, you’re right. It’s important to keep dust to a minimum. There seem to be so many dogs with allergies to dust nowadays. Perhaps it’s because we’re doing something different with out houses.
Does anyone know the reason for this?
